 Midsummer 2010

The place to be for all of your knitting needs is Ewe’ll Love It!  this summer.  The AC is cranking for a pleasant relief from the heat and humidity of the street.  There are sales, celebrations and, most improtant, yarn to meet all your wants and needs.

To indulge you:

  • Friday Nite Knitting Club: a time to chat, knit, eat, compare projects, drink, crochet…have fun! 5-7:30pm, BYOB.
    • 8/13 (child friendly)
    • 8/27
    • 9/10 (child friendly)
    • 9/24

No need to reserve, just join us for the fun & fiber.   This is not a class, but very social, so please don’t plan to come to get all of your questions answered! BYOB or not and snacks to share.

·

·        There are special BOGO items throughout the store.  So what’s a BOGO? Buy one, Get one free.  WOW!

·        Mark your calendars for our 8 year anniversary.  Officially the date is August 10th, but that’s a Tuesday so… plan on August 14th.  Beginning at noon we will feature food, fun and fiber for the remainder of the day.

·        Sample garment sale starts 7/25.  This is an opportunity to purchase a preknit item, below the cost of the yarn.  Nice to let someone else knit it once in a while!

To inspire you:

Ø      Contests for inspiration from your peers.  Items are displayed for the month.  Voting is handled by customers.  The winner stays on display for another month and gets the admiration of other knitters AND a needle set of choice.

  •
    • September will be hat month.  Feel free to bring your entries in at any time.
    • October will be socks (bring only 1 please).

Be sure to enter your wonderful creations for all to see! Please choose yarn from Ewe’ll Love It! and a pattern available to the general public or one you are willing to write up.

Congratulations to Jody  (sweater winner).

To instruct you:

  • Judith Durant is doing another workshop.  What a privilege it is to have such a talented author & editor around.  Reserve the date for her knitting with beads workshop: August 14, 1-4pm.  It’s based on her book Knit One, Bead Too .  You learn 5 techniques for knitting with beads. Cost is $25 for workshop, $10 material fee and 1 skein of Bamboo Cotton or Soyabama.

Better living through stitching together.  You bring your knitting or crocheting, appropriate food, chair or blanket. Last year's turn out was spectacular and it seemed everyone had a marvelous time.  Plan for it now so nothing gets in the way!

Looking forward to seeing you soon.
